12 feared dead at Turkey explosives plant

At least 12 people were confirmed dead and three injured in a blast that ripped through an explosives plant in the Karesi district of Balikesir, northwest Turkey
Balikesir Governor, Ismail Ustaoglu, while confirming the incident said the explosion collapsed the capsule production building and that the surrounding buildings sustained minor damage.
Footage showed shards of glass and metal scattered outside the plant.
Ustaoglu further stated that the blast took place at 8:25 am (0525 GMT) at a section of the plant, adding that that part of the building collapsed.
According to him, prosecutors have launched an investigation.
