A Nigerian woman, Adejumorekeh Balogun has called on Nigerians and relevant authorities for help after allegedly losing her left eye in alleged domestic violence.  In a Facebook post on Saturday, November 16, 2024, the woman shared photos showing her battered face and swollen left eye, alleging that she has been in an abusive relationship with her husband, who she described as a beast, for 15 years.  This is what fifteen years in an abusive relationship with a beast has cost me. I m helpless. His family and him are threatening me. I ve been hospitalized and they don’t know where I am.” She also shared photos of the abuse she endured in the hands of her husband in December 2022, alleging that he did same to his ex-wives.  “This is Dec 4, 2022. This man has been a beast since weve been together his friends can testify, my family and friends can testify even his ex wives can be witness because he does it to them too. His family are telling my family that it has only happened once before. Theyre threatening me to bring down the posts Ive made on social media. Im dropping this update to let you know that I havent gotten a particular authority to handle the matter , Im counting on you all, he already told me I dont have solid background and no one will come to my rescue.
