33-year-old man arraigned for stealing pure water in Ekiti

The Ekiti State Police Command has arraigned a 33-year-old man, Fatai Yisa, before the Chief Magistrate Court in Ado-Ekiti for alleged theft.
According to the prosecutor, Inspector Akinwale Oriyomi, the defendant, who was employed as a sales assistant at a factory, is accused of stealing 1,570 bags of pure water between January and June 10, 2025.
Inspector Oriyomi stated that the stolen items, valued at N549,500, were the property of one Oluwa Tobi Opeyemi.
He told the court that the offence contravenes Section 302 of the Criminal Law of Ekiti State, 2021.
