Adamawa Gov Fintiri empowers 65,000 women, youths with business venture grants

Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Fintiri has empowered sixty-five thousand women and youths in the state with fifty thousand Naira each, to either start up a small business or boost an already existing venture.

The concept tagged, “Fintiri Business Wallet,” is described as a deliberate effort by the state government to reduce poverty to the barest minimum among the people in the state.

Scheme beneficiaries were drawn from the 21 local government areas of the state.

Governor Ahmadu Fintiri, who says economic empowerment of the masses is part of his 8-point agenda, during the presentation ceremony, told the gathering that it is a promise fulfilled.

The Director General of Poverty Alleviation and Wealth Creation, (PAWECA), Dr. Michael Zira, said the beneficiaries were carefully selected, to allow for transparent disbursement of the funds.
