Adamawa police arraigns woman for scalding pregnant sister-in-law

The Adamawa State Police Command on Thursday arraigned 20-year-old Jamila Ishaku before Chief Magistrate Court 2 for allegedly scalding her pregnant sister-in-law with hot water.
Reports say the two were having a heated argument, when she poured the hot water on her.
According to the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, the incident occurred on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, in Dubeli ward, Yola North Local Government Area.
Nguroje urged the public to avoid taking the law into their own hands and instead report disputes to the nearest police station for lawful resolution.
