The Nigerian Air Force says it remains committed to ending banditry, cattle rustling, abduction of innocent citizens and to restore peace in the country.
The Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Hassan Abubakar said this during a condolence visit to Governor Dauda Lawal and victims of the Dangebe Village who were involved in a mistaken airstrike.
He promised to support them, build their mosque and replace the two motorcycles that were destroyed as a result.
The Twenty-second Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshall Hassan Abubakar, led a high-powered delegation to Zamfara State to condole with Governor Dauda Lawal and the victims of the Dangebe, accidental air strike, in the Maradun Local Government Area, where he confirmed that eleven persons were killed, and eleven others left with different degrees of injuries.
He observed that the airstrike was targeted at bandits who were unleashing terror on innocent people.

Air Marshall Abubakar commended the governor of Zamfara State, Dauda Lawal, for effectively implementing the six-point smart agenda, to impact the lives of the people.
Governor Dauda Lawal, described the condolence visit of the Nigerian Air Force team, led by the Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Hassan Abubakar as commendable.
He applauded the efforts of NAF operatives at promptly responding to distress calls, which is contributing to the return of peace to Zamfara, where he described as the hub for bandits.
Governor Lawal presented a Certificate of Occupancy for land that the Zamfara State Government has donated to the Nigerian Air Force, to boost their morale in fighting banditry and other sundry crimes in the state.
