The Oyo State Government has confirmed the interception of suspected Boko Haram sect members by the Amotekun corps.
The suspects were conveyed in an articulated lorry along the Ilora area of Oyo Town.According to state Deputy Governor, Bayo Lawal, dangerous weapons, including guns, were found in the lorry upon interception.
The suspects allegedly engaged the Amotekun corps in a gun duel, with some fleeing into the bush.The security operatives will begin profiling those arrested.

The Deputy Governor called on the populace to be more vigilant, and emphasizing the importance of community involvement in maintaining security.
