Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed has boldly called on the Federal Government and the Presidency to change their leadership style as most of its economic policies are not favourable to the generality of the country. He warns that the economic reforms are capable of causing anarchy and division especially with the Tax Reform Bills currently before the National Assembly.
The Governor made these strong statements when he received the Christian community in Bauchi State on Christmas homage at the Government House.
Leading the Christian faithful was the State Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, Reverend Abraham Damina who commended the Governor for putting smiles on their faces amid the economic hardship to celebrate Christmas not only peaceful but joyfully.
Welcoming the crowd, Governor Bala Mohammed congratulated the Christian faithful for the peaceful Christmas celebration urging them to pray for the country. He ceased the opportunity to say that most policies of President Bola Tinubu administration are undemocratic and anti-masses so as the country’s leader he should listen to the voices of the masses at this material time particularly the Tax Reform Bills which he alleged would short-change the northern part of the country.
The Governor said they will continue to be loyal but if the situation persist their true colour will be known.
Among dignitaries who attended the event were the former Kaduna State Governor, Ahmed Makarfi with the Bauchi State Governor’s wife, putting smiles on their faces women who left for their homes with one wrapper each.
