Automatic Employment: Gov. Okpebholo Honors Promise To Late Labour Leader’s Daughter

Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has honored his promise to the late labour leader, Kaduna Eboigbodin, by offering automatic employment to his daughter, Flourish Evbuomwan, in the state civil service.

The Head of Service, Dr. Anthony Okungbowa, formally handed over the employment letter to Evbuomwan on behalf of the state government. This gesture fulfilled the promise made by Governor Okpebholo to the late Kaduna Eboigbodin, who was the Chairman of the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) in Edo State.Evbuomwan has been appointed as a Scientific Officer II with the State Health Management Agency. In her response, she expressed deep appreciation to the Governor for keeping his promise, noting that the employment not only honors her family but also represents a call to public service.

Kaduna Eboigbodin, the former NLC Chairman in Edo State, tragically passed away after an altercation with police officers at a roadblock in the Upper Sokponba area of Benin City.

In another development, the Head of Service also met with Ezekiel Obazele, a state civil servant who represented Edo State in Liberia, to support the implementation of the E-Government Procurement process. Obazele was recognized for his exceptional service, and the Head of Service encouraged him to continue showcasing the state’s excellence on the global stage.

This initiative underscores Governor Okpebholo’s dedication to rewarding outstanding performance and prioritizing the welfare of Edo State citizens.
