Ayra Starr becomes first African female artist to hit 5m followers on Spotify

Ayra Starr has set a new African record on streaming giant, Spotify. The Nigerian singer recently surpassed 5 million followers on the platform, becoming the the first African female artist to hit the milestone. However, she still trails behind Tems on the list of most-streamed African female artists on the platform. She has a total of 2.7 billion streams across all credits, while Tems has 3.8 billion streams. Ayra Starrs most-streamed song on Spotify is Santa, with over 707,987,442 million streams.
