Ballon d’Or: All French people must vote him – Sakho on player to win award

Mamadou Sakho, a former Liverpool centre-back, has tipped Paris Saint-Germain attacker, Ousmane Dembele to win the 2025 Ballon d’Or.
According to Sakho, all French people must vote for the French international to win the top-individual prize ahead of Barcelona’s Lamine Yamal.
He believes Dembele believes deserved the Ballon d’Or because he had an exceptional 2024-2025 season with PSG.
The former PSG star said on RTL (via French Football Weekly): “For me, all French people must support [Ousmane] Dembele [to win the 2025 Ballon d’Or].
“Lamine Yamal is a Spaniard. We are French, I’m French. And I want [Dembele] who has had an exceptional season, who had won everything, wins the Ballon d’Or.
“And I don’t understand, in our country [France], how some journalists can still make a doubt on it.
“I’m sorry, we’ve to be all together. And with what he proved, what he showed this year, for me, Dembele must have the Ballon d’Or. We must support him,” he stated.
Dembele, 28, scored thirty-three (33) goals for Luis Enrique’s side across all competitions last season.
He won three trophies – Ligue 1, French Cup and Champions League, with Luis Enrique’s side.
