Bandits block Zamfara highway, k!ll policeman, abduct travelers, expatriate

Armed bandits have k!lled a police officer and abducted scores of travelers including an expatriate and some construction workers in Zamfara State.  The incident occurred Thursday morning, October 10, 2024, when the heavily armed men blocked the ever busy Tsafe Funtua road for several hours. One of the survivors informed newsmen that the terrorists created an ambush on the road and shot at any moving vehicles. According to him, a Toyota RAV 4 Jeep carrying an expatriate was among the vehicles attacked and a policeman attached to the VIP was k!lled instantly. The expatriate and several other travelers were whisked away by the bandits to an unknown destination. A combined team of security operatives stormed the scene after nearly two hours and cleared the road for motorists.  The post Bandits block Zamfara highway, k!ll policeman, abduct travelers, expatriate appeared first on Linda Ikeji Blog.
