Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, has approved the appointment of Aminu Hammayo as the new Secretary to the State Government (SSG) and Hashimu Kumbala as the Principal Private Secretary (PPS) to the Governor.
This was disclosed in a statement issued by Mukhtar Gidado, the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the Governor. Gidado noted that the appointments reflect Governor Mohammed’s commitment to effective governance and his vision for a more inclusive and progressive administration, given the track records of the two appointees.
Aminu Hammayo, described as a seasoned administrator and public servant, has held various positions of distinction in Bauchi State. He previously served as the Secretary to the State Government and, until his new appointment, was the Honourable Commissioner for Budget and Multilateral Coordination in the state.
On the other hand, Hashimu Kumbala, an experienced administrator, has been appointed as the Principal Private Secretary to the Governor. Kumbala, a retired Permanent Secretary, most recently served as the Special Adviser to the Governor on General Services. He is expected to provide critical administrative and advisory support to ensure effective communication and coordination within the government.
The statement added that the newly appointed officials will be sworn in on Friday, 27th December 2024, at the Executive Council Chamber, Government House, Bauchi.
