Benue – How thunderstorm killed young girl in Mbaiwen, Adikpo

Tragedy struck in Mbaiwen, Adikpo, Kwande Local Government Area of Benue State, as a young girl identified as Celina Agbatse lost her life after being struck by lightning during a thunderstorm.
According to an eyewitness, the victim had gone to fetch water when the rain began.
Seeking shelter, she stood in front of the house, waiting for the downpour to subside. Unfortunately, a lightning strike hit her, causing fatal injuries.
She was rushed to the General Hospital in Adikpo, where doctors confirmed her death.
Her remains have been deposited at the hospital’s mortuary.
