BENUE STATE GOVT HOLDS SECURITY AND BOUNDARY MEETING … Benue Govt Holds Meeting Over Kwande Insecurity

The Benue State Government has convened an emergency security and boundary meeting as part of efforts to restore peace to areas affected by boundary disputes and conflicts between herders and farmers in the Kwande local government

Deputy Governor Sam Ode who stood in for State Governor Hyacinth Alia says the government remains committed to its primary responsibility of guaranteeing the welfare and security of the people

After extensive deliberations the State Government set up a Communiqué Drafting and Implementation Committee to implement the resolutions reached during the meeting

The committee is expected forward it’s recommendations to the relevant authorities for implementation.

Members of the committee include a desk officer from the Bureau of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Samuel Nambativ, Security Adviser, Peter Oyignu and Kwande Local Government Chairman, Vitalis Neji.
