Benue State Govt Promises To Restore Peace To Kwande And Other Areas

Benue State Government has reassured residents, particularly those in troubled communities of Kwande local of Area of its commitment to restoring peace following renewed attacks in the area.

Permanent Secretary, Ministry for Humanitarian Affairs, James Iorpuu stated this during an assessment visit to Jato-Aka Kwande local government area of the State.

Iorpuu was there with Special Adviser to the Governor on internal security, Joseph Har.

Permanent secretary who doubles as the Executive Secretary State Emergency Management Agency SEMA says relief is on the way for victims of the attacks.

Locals who have been on the run due to the persisting attacks want Government to assist them to return home.

Several communities in Kwande local government area have come under attack in recent times with residents confirming that the assailants have attacked persistently unchallenged.
