CAF Confederation Cup: Win over Black Bulls new year gift to Nigerians – Enyimba coach, Eguma

Enyimba head coach, Stanley Eguma, says the team’s victory over Black Bulls is a New Year gift to all Nigerians.
The People’s Elephant defeated the Mozambican side 4-1 in their CAF Confederation Cup Group D clash at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo, on Sunday.
It was the two-time African champions’ first win in the group stage of the competition this season.
Joseph Atule bagged a brace, with Ifeanyi Ihemekwele and Brown Ideye also scoring for the Aba giants.
“The result is a New Year gift to Nigerians because Nigerians have been yearning for this kind of result in continental football,” Eguma said in his post-match reaction.
Enyimba will host Egypt’s Al Masry in their next game in the competition on Sunday.
