Liverpool manager, Arne Slot has confirmed that Trent Alexander-Arnold will not be available for Thursday’s Carabao Cup semi-final clash with Tottenham.
He picked up a thigh injury during their 2-0 win against Bournemouth last weekend.
Scans on Monday however showed that the Reds defender has not suffered any major damage.
But Slot is unlikely to risk him in tonight’s game, since Conor Bradley is fit for the semi-final game at Anfield.
Alexander-Arnold will now focus on getting fit for next week’s Merseyside derby against Everton, as he is also unlikely to make the trip to Plymouth for the FA Cup third-round clash.
Liverpool lost 1-0 to Tottenham in the first leg, but will be favourites to progress with home advantage.
