Cross River Police Arrests Suspected Ambazonian Rebel Fighters

The Cross River State Police Command has apprehended suspected Ambazonian rebel fighters residing in Akamkpa Local Government Area, following intelligence reports.

According to the Commissioner of Police CP Ukachi Opara, represented by the Deputy Public Relations Officer, Igri Ewa, several incriminating items were recovered from the suspects.

CP Opara who reiterated the command’s unwavering commitment to rid the state of criminal activity, added that the leader of the group was also arrested after a successful Police operation, and will soon face prosecution in court.

The Police assured the public that efforts to maintain law and order across the state would be sustained, with focus on safeguarding the community from criminal elements.
