Edo PDP Rejects Tribunal Ruling, Vows To Appeal

Edo State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has rejected the verdict of the State Election Petition Tribunal which affirmed the governorship status of Senator Monday Okpebholo.

A statement personally signed by the Chairman of the Caretaker Committee, Anthony Aziegbemi, noted that the party completely disagreed with the decision of the tribunal.

According to Aziegbemi, the PDP believes that its candidate, Asuerinme Ighodalo was duly elected by the majority of voters in the September 21, 2024 governorship election and is certain that they sufficiently proved their case before the tribunal.
