EFCC nabs Kaduna technician over alleged job scam

Operatives of the Kaduna Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have arrested one Saifullahi Ismail for alleged involvement in a fraudulent job scam.
The statement the commission published on its official X account on Thursday evening further explain that
Ismail, a technician with the Kaduna Electric Distribution Company, was apprehended on April 30, 2025, at Abakpa New Extension, Kaduna, following credible intelligence linking him to employment fraud.
According to investigators, Ismail and his accomplice, Halima Yakubu Ngulde, allegedly collected money from unsuspecting job seekers with false promises of securing employment for them in agencies such as the Nigeria Police Force, Nigeria Army, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), and the EFCC.
Ngulde had earlier been arrested in November 2024, while Ismail managed to evade capture until his arrest on Wednesday.
Recovered from him was a forged EFCC employment letter, among other incriminating documents. He will be charged to court upon the conclusion of investigations.
