At least eight persons have lost their lives and others sustained injuries when a bus ran over landmines on the Maiduguri – Damboa Road in Borno State.
The mines are suspected to have been laid by insurgent terrorists at Gidan Kaji, some 30 kilometres away from Damboa town, in Damboa Local Government Area of the state.

The State Governor Babagana Zulum has already visited the victims at Maiduguri Specialist Hospital.
