EPL: Klopp Confirms Return To Liverpool

Former Liverpool Manager Jurgen Klopp has confirmed that he will return to the club on the final day of this Premier League campaign after being invited back by his successor, Arne Slot.

Klopp has not been back to Anfield since he left at the end of last season.

The German admits he did not want to return, so he does not jinx the Reds’ bid to become Premier League champions.

The Reds have exceeded all expectations in Slot’s first season in England.

Liverpool are currently 13 points clear of Arsenal at the top of the table and are set to be crowned champions.

“Yes, the plan is for me to be in Liverpool but not on the bus, I will be there with the people I see on the bus,” Klopp said during a fundraiser in Cape Town this week.

“That’s the idea to be honest, but we will see. I think I will be there for the last game.

“I didn’t want to go earlier to be honest because I didn’t want to jinx it all the time. If I’m in the stadium for the first time and they lose, ‘it will be horrible’. So I go there when it’s decided.”
