EU announces $840bn ‘Rearm Europe’ plan

The European Union, EU has announced a plan to ‘Rearm Europe’, which will mobilize up to $840 billion (€800 billion) in defense investment across the bloc.
The President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen announced this on Tuesday.
According to her, European countries are currently living in the era of rearmament.
“We’re living in the most momentous and dangerous of times. We are in an era of rearmament.
“This is the moment for Europe,” Newsweek quoted the European Commission’s president.
Leyen had earlier last week announced that the group will soon present a plan for rearming Europe during a summit of leaders in London.
