Explosive Device in Zamfara State Kills Driver, Damages Vehicle in Maru LGA

An explosive device blew up at Dansadau Emirate in Maru Local Government of Zamfara State, killing a commercial driver and damaging his vehicle.

The device is believed to have been planted by suspected terrorists.

Eyewitness accounts revealed that the suspected terrorists wanted to launch an attack on Yar Galadima community but knowing that vigilantes and military personnel would intervene, they decided to plant the explosive along the road leading to Dansadau.

The incident has created panic among residents as this is the first time, they have experienced this type of thing.

The police authorities in the state could not confirm the incident as the command’s Public Relations Officer, Yazid Abubakar, told Ray Power via telephone that he was not aware of the incident.
