Fed University Lokoja Shut Down Indefinitely Over Students Continuous Protest

Following the continuous protest in the Federal University Lokoja, the management of the institution has announced the shutting down of academic activities until further notice.

The shut down follows the fact that students had since Monday, February 17, barricaded the university gates after the death of their schoolmates. in a fatal accident around the school.

A trailer had rammed into the school’s shuttle bus, killing at least five students instantly.

The shut down is contained in a circular issued on Thursday by the university’s Registrar and Secretary to Council,Rebecca Aimiohu Okojie, and copied the Commissioner of Police, Kogi State Command, as well as the kogi State DSS Director

The circular urged all students in the campuses to immediately vacate on or before 12 noon of Thursday, February 20, 2025.
