A commercial Ferry boat, ”Igbega Eko” was engulfed by fire at the Ipakodo ferry terminal thursday morning leaving the passengers scrambling for safety.
The incident confirmed by the Lagos state Waterways Authority (LASWA)stated that the fire broke out around 6.45 am thursday enroute to Victoria Island.
No life according to LASWA was lost adding though some passengers suffered minor injuries.
Other boat operators in close coordination with LAGFERRY, and other respondents were able to manage the situation effectively.
