Nigeria’s First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu had paid private visits to former military heads of state, Ibrahim Babangida and Abdulsalami Abubakar in Minna, Niger State.
Oluremi, during the visits, reaffirmed the country’s commitment to achieving economic growth, development and stability.
The First Lady explained that though her visit was private, she would not fail to express gratitude to the two former leaders for their fatherly role during the 2023 presidential election.
Mrs Tinibu also acknowledged their efforts in helping Nigerians understand the importance of removing subsidies.
The First Lady was accompanied on the visit by the wife of the Vice President, Hajiya Nana Shettima, and other top government functionaries.
Responding, Abubakar appreciated the visit and pledged his continued support for the country’s development.
