Nasarawa State Government says its pursuit of enhanced food production and sufficiency is yielding the desired result.
Governor Abdullahi Sule said this during a visit to the state’s rice farm in Jangwa area of Awe LGA, a project which he added confirms the investment in the sector.
The Jangwa rice farm occupies a part of the 10 hectares of land dedicated for agricultural purposes by the Governor Sule-led administration.

Five months into the project a lot of progress is said to have been made with the government set to have a return on investment as the rice produced is meeting the desired standard.
The Governor explained that with the good yield seen, it has further encouraged the State Government to commence preparation for harvest and another cultivation until May next year.
The vision of Governor Sule for improved agriculture in Nasarawa State many agree is beyond just mere policy as he dedicates his time to visit key projects like the rice farm located in the swamps of Jangwa.
