God saved me from assassination — Trump

The newly sworn-in President of the United States, Donald Trump, has disclosed why he survived an assassination attempt in Pennsylvania.
Speaking at Capitol Hill during his inaugural speech, Trump said God saved him during the attempt on his life.
According to Trump: “I was saved by God to come and make America great again.”
In July 2024, a 20-year-old named Mathew Crook attempted to assassinate Trump during his election campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.
After what appeared to be two shots were fired, Trump touched the right side of his face and dropped to the ground.
Secret Service agents immediately threw themselves on him to shield him from further harm.
However, Secret Service spokesperson Anthony Guglielmi later revealed that the shooter had fired multiple shots towards the stage from an elevated position outside the rally venue.
