Gov. Alia signs 2025 Budget, launches 10-year Benue Development Plan

Benue State Governor, Hyacinth Alia, has signed into law the 2025 Appropriation Bill in Ihugh, Vandeikya local government area of the State.

The N550.1 billion budget has administration taking the bulk amount of N212 billion with allocation to economic sectors standing at about N197 billion.

Tagged “Budget for human capital development, food security and digital economy”, its signing coincided with the formal launch of the State’s 10-year development plan and the State Nutrition Policy and Social Protection Policy.

The State Chief Executive equally spoke on the bill to rename the Benue State University Makurdi and the bill to establish a new one in Ihugh, Vandeikya local government area of the State.

On Monday, the State House of Assembly passed the 2025 Appropriation Bill at its last plenary for the year.
