Akwa Ibom State Governor, Umo Eno has commissioned the 10.519km Mkpat Enin – Ikot Ubo – Ikot Ntot – Nkikara Road at Mkpat Enin and Ikot Abasi Local Government Areas of the State.
Governor Eno said at the event that continuity in governance is key to the development of any democracy.
Mkpat Enin one of the two LGA where the road network runs through, is the home of the late wife of Governor Umo Eno and expectedly, the massive turnout of the people and the reception accorded to the Governor was electrifying.
Governor Umo Eno told the jubilant crowd that government was a continuum and as such he is committed to continuing programs and projects of previous administrations in order to advance and deepen democracy as well as infrastructure development in Akwa Ibom State.
The Commissioner for Works and Fire Service, Professor Eno Ibanga, who is from the area, and other stakeholders from the two LGAs, expressed appreciation to the Governor for not abandoning the road project.
The Governor had always said that he would complete all uncompleted projects from his predecessor, and so far he has kept to his words as some have been completed so far, while work is ongoing at many other sites.
