Gunmen k!ll man, abduct his wife 11 days after their wedding in Nasarawa

Unidentified gunmen suspected to be kidnappers attacked a newly married couple, fatally shooting the husband and abducting his wife in Akaleku community in Obi Local Government Area of Nasarawa State.   The incident occurred on Wednesday night, April 23, 2025.  It was gathered that the couple got married only on April 12, 2025.  Witnesses report that the couple appeared to have been deliberately targeted in a calculated assault that occurred late in the night.  According to available information, the groom, identified simply as Allu, was k!lled instantly, while the attackers forcibly took away his wife to an undisclosed location.   Law enforcement personnel have commenced a search operation to track down the criminals.  The devastating occurrence has plunged the entire community into sorrow, with residents and family members grappling with the devastating loss.   Local authorities and civil society voices have strongly denounced the act and urged the Nasarawa State Government, along with security institutions, to step up their measures in safeguarding lives and securing the immediate rescue of the kidnapped woman.    The post Gunmen k!ll man, abduct his wife 11 days after their wedding in Nasarawa appeared first on Linda Ikeji Blog.
