President of the senate Godswill Akpabio has denied allegations of sexual harassment leveled against him by Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, insisting he has never harassed any woman.
Akpabio’s response is part of the drama playing out in Nigeria’s Senate as Senator Akpabio-Uduaghan had laid her petition few minutes earlier during plenary.
Responding to the claims, Akpabio stated that at no point did he make any inappropriate advances toward Senator Natasha or any other woman.

Akpabio further recalled that during his time as a state governor, he was recognized as the Most Gender-Friendly Governor for his efforts in promoting women’s inclusion in governance.
He called on Nigerians and social media users to refrain from drawing conclusions, urging them to allow due process and await the outcome of the investigation.
