IGP Egbetokun Supports Officers, Employees’ Compensation Scheme

The Nigerian Police has expressed readiness to enroll in the Employees’ Compensation Scheme (ECS), to provide additional social benefits to the Force.

The Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, gave the assurance in Abuja, when the Managing Director of the Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund (NSITF), Oluwaseun Faleye came on an advocacy visit.

The Employees’ Compensation Scheme is a one per cent deduction from workers’ salaries reserved for the benefit of injured or workers who died in the line of duty.
