Illegal Mining: NSCDC Parade Ten Suspects In Jos

Ten Suspected Illegal miners have been arrested by the Plateau State Command of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC).

The ten suspects who were carrying out their illegal vocation at Bukuru in Jos South local government area of Plateau State were caught in the act with various equipment and some solid minerals.

The Plateau State commandant, Ishaku Musa, while parading the suspects, warned that the suspension of mining activities in Plateau State is still in place and urged illegal miners to steer clear of the state or face the wrath of the law.

Some of the miners who spoke off camera pleaded for mercy, saying that they only visited the site to process the ore previously dug out.
