Imo Police command begins enforcement of third party vehicle insurance policy

The Commissioner of Police, Imo State Command, CP Aboki Danjuma, has tasked personnel to uphold the highest standards of professionalism and integrity while carrying out enforcement of the third-party vehicle insurance policy as directed by the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun.
In a press statement issued by the Command’s spokesperson, DSP Henry Okoye, informed that the police commissioner, warned officers against any misconduct that could tarnish the image of the Force, emphasizing that any personnel found wanting would face severe sanctions.
The press statement further informed that the CP, also urged vehicle owners in the state to ensure their insurance documents are up to date.
The enforcement team, according to the press statement comprises Divisional Traffic Officers, DTOs, members of the National Union of Road Transport Workers, NURTW, and staff of the State Internal Revenue Service.
