Iran denies firing missiles after ceasefire

Iran has denied claims that it launched ballistic missiles at Israel following the start of a US-brokered ceasefire, even as the Israeli military confirmed that two projectiles were fired toward northern Israel early Tuesday morning.
According to Iran’s state-affiliated ISNA news agency, reports of a post-ceasefire missile launch by Tehran are “false,” and the government has denied any involvement in attacks following the truce agreement.
However, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) reported that two missiles were indeed launched from Iran shortly after the ceasefire went into effect.
The projectiles triggered air raid sirens across parts of northern Israel, and residents in several areas reported witnessing aerial interceptions.
The IDF said both missiles were successfully intercepted and that no casualties or damage were reported.
The military has not yet released further details regarding the nature of the projectiles or the exact locations targeted.
Israeli officials have yet to respond directly to Iran’s denial but have vowed to “respond forcefully to any violation” of the truce.
