Just In: Edo Gov’ship Election Petitions Tribunal relocates to Abuja

The Justice Wilfred Kpochi-led Edo State Governorship Election Petitions Tribunal has announced the relocation of its sitting from Benin City to the National Judicial Institute, NJI, in Abuja, effective Monday, January 27.

This was communicated in a notice placed on the door of the Tribunal in Benin City on Friday.

No reasons were officially given for the relocation. However, this may not be unconnected with recent security issues around the Tribunal sittings in Benin City.
