Just In : PDP Withdraws From Saturday’s Ondo Local Govt Election

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in ondo state has announced its withdrawal from Saturday’s Local Government election in the state.

Acting Chairman of the party in ondo state,Bakita Bello confirmed the development to ait.live on Telephone on Thursday.

He said the PDP as a party has sent a letter to the Ondo state independent Electoral commission,ODIEC informing them of the intention of the party to withdraw from the Saturday’s Election.

“We are not participating in the Local Government election and we have so informed ODIEC in writing “

The party claimed its decision stems from a loss of confidence in the Ondo State Independent Electoral Commission (ODIEC).

With the latest developments,The PDP’s withdrawal will affects all 15 Chairmanship candidates and 131 Councillorship candidates it had fielded for the election.
