Kano court orders mother and daughter to be taught Quranic lessons for calling neighbour pr0stitute

A Kano Shari’a Court sitting in Kurna Quarters in Dala Local Government Area of the state ordered that a mother and her daughter be kept at a health facility located at Kansakali, where they should be taught quranic lessons for calling their neighbour a pr0stitute. The police in Kano had arraigned Zainab Ibrahim and her daughter, Rukayya Nazir, before the court over alleged defamation of character. One Sadiya Nasir lodged a complaint with the police against the duo for allegedly addressing her as a h@rlot.  After the charge was read, both pleaded guilty and the Khadi, Shamsuddeen Ado Abdullahi, ordered that the defendant be kept at a health facility located at Kansakali, where they should be taught Quranic lessons. They were also ordered to go and retract their statements before a gallery of neighbours in the community.  The post Kano court orders mother and daughter to be taught Quranic lessons for calling neighbour pr0stitute appeared first on Linda Ikeji Blog.
