Kidnapped surveyors regain freedom in Ondo after paying N20m ransom

 Nine surveyors abducted in Ilu-Abo, a community in Akure North Local Government Area of Ondo State about a week ago, have regained their freedom after N20 million ransom was paid. The surveyors were abducted while working on site when the abductors swopped in on them. The assailants contacted their families and demanded a N100 million ransom. It was gathered that market women pleaded with the kidnappers to reduce the ransom to N50m but they initially rejected the offer. Confirming their release, a High Chief in the Akure kingdom, Oluwole Omotayo, said that all the victims were in good health and have since been reunited with their family members.  The post Kidnapped surveyors regain freedom in Ondo after paying N20m ransom appeared first on Linda Ikeji Blog.
