Kogi Council polls: Low turnout of voters recorded

There was low turnout of voters in Saturday’s Local Government election in Kogi State despite the early arrival of sensitive materials to the places where election was held.

After voting, some of those who voted in Lokoja described the election as transparent and peaceful.

In some polling units in the state capital, sensitive materials arrived early, while in other areas, people had to wait for hours for election officials to arrive.

However, in Kogi East, West and Central, the election witnessed a peaceful atmosphere.
