Kogi High Court Sacks Ohinoyi Of Ebira Land

A Kogi State high court sitting in Lokoja, on Monday sacked the Ohinoyi of Ebiraland, His Majesty Alhaji Ahmed Muhammed Tajani Anaje from office.

ait.live is yet to get details of the judgement as at the time of filing this report.

The presiding Judge Justice Salisu Umar of High Court 6 Lokoja in his ruling directed the defendant to stop parading himself as the paramount traditional ruler of Ebiraland.

It was gathered that the case was filed by one Dr. Barnabas Adeku Ojiah and two others against the Governor of Kogi State.

The presiding Judge failed to grant one of the prayers of the complainant directing the first defendant (Kogi State Governor) to commence a fresh process in compliance with the procedure for the nomination and appointment of Ohinoyi of Ebira land.

It would be recalled that Anaje was appointed by the immediate past Governor of Kogi State Alhaji Yahaya Bello before the expiration of his tenure.
