Labour commends Gov. Fubara as workers receive minimum wage

Rivers State Chairman of the Joint Public Service Negotiating Council, Emecheta Chuku has commended the Governor, Sim Fubara for his quick implementation of the newly approved minimum wage of N85,000 to workers in the state.

AIT.live gathered that workers in Rivers State received the new N85,000 minimum wage and consequential adjustments on Wednesday becoming to first in the 36 states of the federation to be paid the new package.

It will be recalled in December 2023, Governor Fubara approved payment of N100,000 end of year bonus to each worker in the employment of Rivers State.
