Leadership Crisis Rocks Ekiti Pensioners As Election Suffers Postponement

Fresh crisis has erupted in the Nigeria Union of Pensioners, NUP, Ekiti State Chapter over alleged misappropriation of funds in the Union.

Union members remained divided over the financial report tendered by the immediate past executives of the union led by Comrade Joel Akinola.

Representing the National President of NUP, Spokesperson of the Union, Comrade Bunmi Ogunkolade said the election of new executives was postponed to ensure that all issues raised by the delegates are resolved within three months.

He went further to inaugurate an 8-Man Caretaker Committee to pilot the affairs of the Union in Ekiti State for three months.

Comrade Popoola Adetola emerged as the Chairman of the Caretaker Committee while Ibitoye Philip will serve as Vice-Chairman.
