Ligue 1: Simon nominated for Goal of the Season

Moses Simon is in the running for Ligue 1 Goal of the Season award, DAILY POST reports.
Simon was nominated for his superlative goal in Nantes’ hard-fought 1-0 victory over Stade Rennes just before Christmas.
The winger dribbled past three Rennes defenders before firing a shot into the bottom corner.
It’s the first time he will be nominated for the individual accolade since arriving Nantes from Spanish club, Leganes in 2020.
The Nigeria international has also enjoyed his most productive campaign, registering seven goals and nine assists for the Canaries.
Maghnes Akliouche (Monaco), Amine Gouiri (Olympique de Marseille), Esteban Lepaul (Angers), and Andrey Santos (Strasbourg) are the other players nominated for the award.
