A suspected vandal has been arrested for allegedly removing iron rods from the pedestrian slabs around the newly constructed Ebu Bridge along the UghelliAsaba Road. The Delta State Commissioner for environment, Jamani Ejiro, apprehended the suspect while vandalizing and removing the iron rods from the pedestrian slabs. Preliminary investigation identified the suspect as Emmanuel Sunday, a native of Ikot-Okpene Local Government Area in Akwa Ibom State. He is a carpenter engaged as a contract staff by the construction company. During questioning, he confessed to the act of vandalism. The commissioner has handed him over to the police for further investigation and prosecution.
