Man who returned to Nigeria after years abroad reveals why he owes his mother an apology

A man, who recently visited Nigeria after years abroad, took to X to reveal why he owes his mother an apology. The man wrote on X four days ago: “Last night in Lagos, its been fun. This is not a country.” He returned to the platform today to explain his initial tweet. He wrote: “I left Nigeria few years ago and my mom would tell me things are expensive but my head couldnt comprehend it (I multiply it by 2 worst case scenario), at some point, I thought she just wanted more money for herself. I just got back from Nigeria & I owe her an apology. “Things have gotten so bad in Nigeria that throughout my stay, I kept wondering how people were surviving. All the things I used to buy years ago have gone up minimum of times 3/4. Everybody is begging, life is hard even for people that are working their asses off. Its so bad. If they tell you about the situation of the country when youre outside, you wont be able to fully understand how bad it has gotten, you need to feel it to understand what theyve been saying. I dont think I can properly explain how bad it has gotten. The post Man who returned to Nigeria after years abroad reveals why he owes his mother an apology appeared first on Linda Ikeji Blog.
