The Nigeria Police has a new Assistant Inspector General in charge of its Force Criminal Intelligence and Investigation Department.
She is Margaret Ochalla Agebe who officially resumed as the 54th Assistant Inspector General of Police.Her appointment follows the retirement of AIG Augustina Ogbodo.
The new AIG, from Yala Local Government holds Bachelor’s degrees in Sociology and Conflict Resolution and Refugee Management.
She also holds a Masters degree in Peace and Conflict StudiesIn her…year career in the Police Force she has held a number of strategic positions including Assistant Commissioner of Police at the Force Gender Unit, Commissioner of Police at the FCID, Abuja and Commissioner of Police at the Special Fraud Unit in Lagos from where she was elevated to the level of Assistant Inspector General.

She has bagged a number of awards including the Africa Women Leadership Award and the National Security Award for Excellent Performance from the Nigerian Senate Committee on Police Affairs.
